Pros

  • Plenty of the game can be played for free
  • A satisfying sniper game
  • Crystal graphics and smooth controls

Cons

  • A lot of pay-to-win encouragement later in the game

Sniper games get your blood pumping with pure adrenaline as you secretly zoom in and aim at your target to place them in the deadly crosshairs. He doesn't know you're there, which makes it even more exciting as you slowly pull the trigger and plant an expert's bullet right between the eyes. Sniper 3D Assassin takes a less aggressive approach to the shooting genre where you remain under cover until the dark deed reaches completion. Just who pulled the trigger will remain in the dark as all good snipers work behind the scenes.

The game Sniper 3D Assassin gets a lot right with simplified controls that mean less time understanding how to shoot and reload and more time drawing you in with the riveting gameplay. This game might, however, not be for faint of heart because you sometimes have to gun down people from all walks of life including a journalist who asks too many questions and finds himself nearing the cold truth. For some people, they might feel disturbed at the unsettling tone. Gamers can get started and play much of it for free. After you pull the trigger and take out people on your hit list, you feel a lingering sense of satisfaction. Nevertheless, the further in the game you go, the more the net closes around the unwitting gamer, and you will find it much harder not to invest in the in-app purchases. The later hits take more skill to complete if you plan not to buy their cheats.

Like with many of the other sniper games, you receive a mission briefing before each level where you learn about the background of your target. In this game, you will even see a photo of the target to help you find them. Instead of cheesy objective arrows like in other games, you use what's known in the sniper world as spotting. When you fulfill the "objectives" of a mission, you will earn coins to upgrade guns and even buy more precise assassin equipment. Whenever possible, aim for the head because you earn extra cash for clean headshots.

The game designers made the levels in a varied way that mixes up the missions to keep your goals diverse. For example, in one mission you may have a target hiding among a faceless crowd of people, which makes it hard to make a clean kill. In another mission, you have to put a well-placed sniper bullet into a moving car or take down multiple assailants who have taken hostages for their cause. Always be careful of innocents because killing a single innocent will lead to a failure of the mission. Sniper 3D Assassin does have some annoying issues like how when you hit the reload button, it's dangerously close to the fire weapon button. Outside that, however, Sniper 3D Assassin gives you a great story to chew on and a game full of interesting twists and turns.
